Past Events

Below is a selection of recent village events.

Rememberance Sunday

Led by the Reverend Martin Hatfield of the Baptist Church, a service of Rememberance was held at the village hall on 12th November 2017, when the servicemen killed in both world wars were remembered. Afterwards the congregation made their way up to the War Memorial.

The "Last Post" was sounded poigniantly by Adam before wreaths were laid and a 2 minute silence held.

Carols at the Full Moon 20 December 2017

  • Carols 2017
    The weather outside wasn't frightful,
and the evening was quite delightful,
particularly when all the children sang
    "Away in a Manger".
  • Carols 2017
Warmest thanks to Rev. Martin Hadfield
for leading us with enthusiasm and humour,
    - to the Baptist Church band for playing with such gusto,
    - to Bran and Petra for yet again generously hosting the event
and to the LKVS committee, particularly Bernice,
for organising everything behind the scenes.
  • Carols 2017
Most of all, thanks to everyone, young and old
who turned out to lend their voices and to make
the evening a very enjoyable village occasion.
  • Carols 2017
The collection for the Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Charity, Prestwood
raised an amazing £220, so once again,
most grateful thanks on behalf of TBCC for all those donations.
