Below is a selection of recent village events.
Rememberance Sunday
Led by the Reverend Martin Hatfield of the Baptist Church, a service of Rememberance was held at the village hall on 11th November 2018, when the servicemen killed in both world wars were remembered. Afterwards the congregation made their way up to the War Memorial.
The "Last Post" was sounded poigniantly by Adam before
wreaths were laid and a 2 minute silence held.

Carols 2018
The weather outside wasn't frightful,
and the evening was quite delightful,
particularly when all the children sang
"Away in a Manger". -

for leading us with enthusiasm and humour,
- to the Baptist Church band for playing with such gusto,
- to Bran and Petra for yet again generously hosting the event
and to the LKVS committee, particularly Bernice,
for organising everything behind the scenes. -

who turned out to lend their voices and to make
the evening a very enjoyable village occasion. -

The collection for the Cinnamon Trust charity
raised an amazing £220, so once again,
most grateful thanks for all those donations.

Quiz Night 26 November 2016
The Village Society hosted a Quiz Night to over 70 guests on 26 November 2016.
Many thanks to Simon Fraser, our star quizmaster.
Also, a huge thank you to the members of the committee and friends/spouses for organising the quiz
and providing an excellent supper.

Wine Tasting
An evening of wine tasting was held on October 13 2013
